Research & Shortlisting
We start with deep research — reading traveller reports, local blogs, booking data, and neighbourhood guides. We build a longlist of options across every budget and filter down based on location, value, and guest experience.
On-the-Ground Evaluation
Where possible, our team visits in person. We stay the night, walk the neighbourhood, eat nearby, and assess safety, transport links, and walkability. When visits aren't feasible, we work with trusted local contacts and verified guest reviews.
Scoring & Writing
Each property or area is scored across key criteria: location, value for money, cleanliness, safety, and amenities. Our written reviews are honest — we highlight the good and the bad, so you can decide what matters most to you.
Kept Up to Date
Mexico City changes fast. We revisit our recommendations regularly, update pricing, and remove anything that no longer meets our standards. Every guide shows a "last updated" date so you always know how fresh the information is.
