What to Expect from Martin Garrix in Mexico City

Expect a long, nonstop festival set moved indoors. The Americas Tour covers 16 cities across North and South America, and it opened on May 1, 2026 near Dallas. These are full headline shows built around his own production. In other words, think of a main stage set at EDC, but under a roof and with nobody else on the bill.

Martin Garrix also arrives as one of the biggest names in dance music. He released “Animals” at just 17, and DJ Mag has since voted him the world’s number one DJ five times. Mexico City already knows him, too. He played EDC Mexico, and he closed the Formula 1 Grand Prix after race show in both 2022 and 2023. Those sets took place at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, right next door to the Palacio. He also donated $10,000 of his Ultra Mexico fee to relief after the 2017 Puebla earthquake.

What Will Martin Garrix Play?

Almost his entire catalogue, cut into a fast mix. The Santiago show in May logged 80 tracks on setlist.fm. It opened with “Catharina” and “Carry You”, then ran through “Animals”, “Tremor”, “Scared to Be Lonely” and “In the Name of Love”. He also paid tribute to Avicii with “Levels” and “Waiting for Love”. Finally, he closed the night on “High on Life”.

Surprise guests are part of this tour. In Santiago, Ed Sheeran walked on unannounced for a set of more than half an hour. Together they debuted “Repeat It”, a song they first wrote in Nashville in 2014. They had even played an early version together at Ultra Miami back in 2015. They even shot its music video in that arena. Nobody has announced a guest for Mexico City, so treat that as a bonus rather than a promise.

How Long Is the Show?

Plan for more than two hours. In Santiago, doors opened at 5:00 PM and Martin Garrix started at 9:35 PM. He then played until 11:55 PM, a set of about 2 hours and 20 minutes. Ticketmaster lists 8:00 PM for both Mexico City nights, and no opening act has been confirmed. Still, a late finish is likely, and that matters for getting home.

Where to Stay Near the Venue

Stay in Roma Norte or Condesa, because a weekend show deserves a neighbourhood that stays awake after it. Both sit on Metro Line 9, at Centro Médico and Chilpancingo, which reaches the arena with no transfers. Taxis back to either area are also short rides once the Metro closes. Juárez works well too, with one change on the Metro. Centro Histórico is cheaper, but its streets go quiet late at night. Martin Garrix Ticket Prices and Availability

Tickets are on Ticketmaster, where Saturday is still on sale and Friday shows low availability. Prices start at about $52 USD in Level E. Level D costs about $77 USD, and Level C costs about $101 USD. Level B runs about $128 USD. Finally, the floor tops out at about $169 USD.

Pick the floor if you want to dance, since the upper levels are seated. Ticketmaster also sells a Beat Lounge upgrade and a Fast Lane entry pass. Note that neither one includes a concert ticket, so you need both. In addition, the Palacio box office sells tickets Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Concert Venue and Dates

The Palacio de los Deportes stands at Avenida Río Churubusco and Añil in Granjas México, Iztacalco, inside the Ciudad Deportiva Magdalena Mixhuca complex. It was built for the 1968 Olympics by architects including Félix Candela. Its copper covered dome spans roughly 120 metres with no internal columns, which is why locals call it the Domo de Cobre. The racetrack where Martin Garrix closed the Grand Prix sits next door.

Concert Dates

  • Friday, October 16, 2026, the original date, which sold out quickly in December
  • Saturday, October 17, 2026, the added second night, still on sale
  • After Mexico, the tour heads to Central and South America in November and December

Start Time

  • 8:00 PM is the time listed on Ticketmaster for both nights
  • In Santiago, doors opened at 5:00 PM and Garrix started at 9:35 PM
  • Expect a set of more than two hours, so plan for a late finish

Planning Your Visit to the Concert

Getting There

Take Metro Line 9 there, and get off at Velódromo or Ciudad Deportiva. Both stations sit within walking distance of the arena, and the fare is 5 pesos. Getting home is harder, though. The Metro closes at midnight on Friday and Saturday, and a set this long may run close to that. So plan on a taxi or rideshare back. If you drive, the venue has parking, and Ticketmaster sells extra parking passes for these dates. Walk a few blocks away from the arena before you order, because pickup queues build fast.

What to Bring

Dress for dancing, not for the weather. The arena gets hot once the floor starts jumping, yet mid October evenings outside drop to around 12°C or 54°F. So bring a light layer you can tie around your waist. Wear comfortable shoes if you are on the floor. Also carry a charged phone for your ride home, plus small bills for the vendors outside. Professional cameras are not allowed.

Concert Experience

This is a dance crowd, so expect energy from the first drop. The floor stays packed and moving all night. Meanwhile, the seated levels give you the best view of the lights and visuals. Arrive early if you want a spot near the front, because floor tickets are general admission.

Eat before you go. Food options around Ciudad Deportiva thin out quickly, and arena lines get long. Instead, have dinner in Roma Norte or Condesa, then take Line 9 east. After the show, those same streets still have bars open, which makes them the right base for a Saturday night.
