What to Expect at STRAYCITY in Mexico City

Stray Kids have been here before, and it went well. Their first Mexican shows were April 12 and 13, 2025, at this same stadium on the dominATE tour. They became the first Korean boy group to sell out two nights at Estadio GNP Seguros, and 115,000 people came across the two dates. Seventeen months later they are doing it again, and again it took two nights.

They also arrive on a genuine peak. Their tenth EP, THIS & THAT, landed in August 2026 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. That was their ninth straight chart-topping debut. No act in Billboard 200 history had ever opened its first nine charting albums at No. 1. The EP moved 369,000 units in a week, and the group now ties The Rolling Stones for the second most No. 1 albums by any group.

What STRAYCITY Is, and Who Stray Kids Are

STRAYCITY is not the world tour. JYP Entertainment and Live Nation built it as a new festival, with Stray Kids as the centerpiece and different guest acts in every city. They announced it on May 22, 2026. The run covered Bogotá and Buenos Aires earlier this month, and Mexico City is the final stop. For the Mexico dates the supporting bill is NEXZ, Andrés Obregón and RENEE. NEXZ is the JYP group that has followed the festival across the region, while Obregón and RENEE are the local additions, which is the whole idea behind the format.

If K-pop is not your world, here is the short version on the headliners. Stray Kids are eight members: Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin and I.N. They debuted under JYP Entertainment on March 25, 2018. The thing that sets them apart is that they write and produce most of their own music. Bang Chan, Changbin and Han work as a production unit called 3RACHA, and they are behind the bulk of the catalogue.

That control shows up in the sound. It is loud, maximalist and built for a stadium rather than a playlist. Their fandom goes by STAY, and you will see the name everywhere in the stands. Mexico also has one of the largest STAY communities outside Asia.

Concert Venue and Dates

Estadio GNP Seguros, still called Foro Sol by everyone who lives here, sits in Iztacalco in the eastern part of the city. It holds around 65,000 people and shares its grounds with the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. Paul McCartney, Coldplay, Taylor Swift, BLACKPINK and TWICE have all played it.

Concert Dates

  • Friday, September 25, 2026, the original date, sold out on the day tickets went on sale
  • Saturday, September 26, 2026, added in response to demand

Start Time

  • 6:30 PM on both nights, earlier than a typical CDMX arena show
  • Three support acts play before the headline set, so the night runs long
  • Door times come from OCESA closer to the date, so check before you leave

STRAYCITY Ticket Prices and Availability

Tickets go through Ticketmaster, where you can compare seats across the stadium in one place. Face value runs from $1,363 MXN, roughly $80 USD, in the upper Naranja C sections. General B and the accessible PCD zone sit at $1,859 MXN, about $110 USD. The premium Platino A seats climb to between $7,563 and $9,795 MXN, around $446 to $577 USD, and VIP packages top out near $11,508 MXN, about $678 USD. Service charges are already in those prices, with a $50 peso processing fee per order.

Where to Stay Near the Venue

Iztacalco itself has very little for visitors, so stay central and travel out to the stadium. Roma Norte is the best all round base, and what we would book ourselves. It has the food and the bars for afterward, and a straightforward ride east. Condesa is the quieter neighbor with the same access. Centro Histórico works if you want the museums on foot, and Polanco is the upscale option. Planning Your Visit to the Concert

Getting There

Metro Line 9 is the reliable way in. Get off at Ciudad Deportiva and walk about 10 minutes to Gate 6. Puebla, also on Line 9, is the backup at 15 to 18 minutes on foot. Rideshare works going out but collapses afterward, because 65,000 people leave at once. The Metro runs until midnight on weekdays, so plan the return before you go. Give yourself a wide buffer, since the 6:30 PM start lands inside Friday rush hour.

What to Bring

Late September still falls in the rainy season, and evening showers are common. Bring a light rain layer you can pack away. Days sit near 22°C or 72°F and drop to around 13°C or 55°F after dark, so add a jacket for the walk back to the Metro. Carry cash in small bills for vendors outside, and a charged power bank, because the stadium signal struggles when it is full.

Concert Experience

Mexican crowds have a reputation in K-pop for being loud, and STAY here lean into it. Expect coordinated fan chants, light stick seas and singing that carries through the quiet parts. Arrive early if you want merchandise, because the queues form hours before doors. The festival format also means the openers matter, so do not time your arrival for the headline set.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

When is STRAYCITY in Mexico City?

Friday, September 25 and Saturday, September 26, 2026, both at 6:30 PM, at Estadio GNP Seguros in Iztacalco. These are the last two dates of the whole Latin American run. Stray Kids headline, with NEXZ, Andrés Obregón and RENEE opening.

How much are STRAYCITY tickets?

Face value starts at $1,363 MXN, roughly $80 USD, and runs to about $9,795 MXN, around $577 USD, for Platino A. VIP packages reach $11,508 MXN, about $678 USD. Service charges are included, plus a $50 peso fee per order. September 25 sold out, so check the 26th.

Is STRAYCITY the same as the Stray Kids world tour?

No. STRAYCITY is a separate festival from JYP and Live Nation, with guest acts and its own setlist. The RUN IT world tour is the other thing entirely. If you came expecting the tour show, this is a different night, and that difference split opinion among fans at the earlier dates.
